Your industry partner

BCS was founded by commercial expert, Samantha Buckton. Leading up to this, her extensive career spanned global aerospace, defence, power generation, logistics and packaging industries.

Most recently holding the position of VP Procurement & Commercial for a US Private Equity owned tier-1 organisation, Sam developed the groups corporate strategy, created a new procurement function, and managed the groups long term agreements, negotiating both customer and supplier contracts. In addition, Sam supported the development of the groups joint venture in India as well as led functional due diligence for procurement & commercial for three acquisitions.

Prior to this, Sam held senior roles across civil, defence and nuclear divisions within Rolls-Royce Plc, strategically accountable for a $0.5Bn annual spend portfolio, focussing on strategic sourcing, international business, commodity strategy and supplier relationship management.

Sam is also a serving Director of the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA), one of the largest aerospace manufacturing clusters in the world, supporting the promotion and cooperation with customers, suppliers and public sector businesses within the UK midlands region, and is also a member of the Aerospace Committee for the British-American Business Connections - Pacific Northwest (BABC-PNW), helping to drive collaboration with organisations in the US-UK aerospace trade corridor.
